“I started Lone Star Infusion to provide help to those in need. I am super passionate about being a partner in helping people feel their best.”
– Dr. Allison Wells
The first practice in Houston to focus on ketamine treatments. We are an experience-leader. Serving patients from Texas and around the Country.
“To our knowledge, there has never been a report of any other drug or somatic treatment … that results in such a dramatic rapid and prolonged response with a single administration.”
“I woke up today and I thought ‘I wonder what today will bring?’ I never think like that! Little by little I feel like I want to do more and I have more energy.”
“Very professional and caring. I rate Dr Wells a 10 as a doctor!”
“Ketamine is life changing. It is the first and only thing to make a real difference with my mental illness.”
“Instantly made me feel better after a long bout with depression. After six infusions, remembered what it was like to feel good again consistently.”
“Care + kindness beyond measure! I am so grateful for Lone Star Infusion.”
Ketamine infusions can be an exceptional treatment option for even the most severe and treatment-resistant symptoms. Scientific literature shows that ketamine works by different mechanisms than most other treatments. Ketamine infusions provide relief even when other treatment do not.
Studies and clinical results show results for around 70% of patients with symptoms such as severe depression and anxiety. For neuropathic pain conditions such as CRPS, the treatments can often provide significant and sustained relief even when nothing else dose.
A series of infusions followed by maintenance treatments provides greater and longer-lasting relief – with each subsequent infusion in a series building upon the last:
- A few treatments on an as needed basis may be sufficient for some people treating PTSD.
- For many people treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and other symptoms, a series of treatments over a few weeks followed by maintenance treatments thereafter will likely be the most effective and reasonable plan.
- For severe and chronic pain conditions, we often see patients for several high-dose infusions on an as-needed basis. Treatment plans can vary, but a common course of treatments may be one or more treatments every six to eight weeks to manage symptoms.
We work with patients to tailor the treatments to their needs and response to the treatments. We start with the most appropriate treatment plan based on your presentation and update your plan in consultation with you over time.
The most appropriate course of treatments will be different for each patient.
We collaborate with you towards the best possible outcomes – we strive to maximize duration and quality of results through appropriate dosing, adjunct medications, and a treatment frequency that makes sense for you.
