Ketamine can be an alternative for patients whose conditions are resistant to more traditional therapies. Ketamine can be used for treating Mental Health diagnosis Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and Bipolar Disorder or for managing Neuropathic Pain, including CRPS, Fibromyalgia, and Migraines etc.)

At Lone Star Infusion, we are very pleased to provide monitored, multidisciplinary ketamine therapy. We strive to provide the best possible evidence-based medicine.

Pre-Procedure Instructions

To ensure your safety and comfort during treatment, please review the following guidelines:

    Treatment Overview
    Treatments are administered on an out-patient basis in private rooms at our office in Houston with a focus on adjusting dosing and adjunct medicines for efficacy, safety and patient comfort.

    A series of infusions followed by maintenance treatments provides greater and longer-lasting relief – with each subsequent infusion in a series building upon the last. We typically start with a series of 6 infusions over several weeks followed by maintenance treatments as-needed – with maintenance treatments typically starting about every 3 to 5 weeks. The number and frequency of treatments is variable from patient to patient.

    When you come in for a treatment plan to be with us for approximately 90 minutes.
    ● The first 10-15 minutes is for talking with the provider for assessment and development or update of the multidisciplinary treatment plan, IV access, monitoring, and allowing you to get comfortable before infusion.
    ● Infusion runs for 40 minutes and during this that they are working on getting you to a floaty state (euphoric).
    ● Last 15 to 20 minutes is recovery.

    Each one-hour Low Dose Infusion for the treatment of psychiatric or Chronic Neuropathic Pain symptoms is $375 for which we accept payment at the time of treatment. Insurers do not typically reimburse Ketamine infusions, and we are not able to take insurance.

    A one-hour High Dose Infusion for the treatment of Chronic Neuropathic Pain symptoms is $525 for which we accept payment at the time of treatment. Insurers do not typically reimburse Ketamine infusions; we are not able to take insurance.

    Patient Comfort & Preparation
    You may wear comfortable street clothes during the infusion, a blanket or comfortable sweater. You may also bring headphones and some of your favorite, happy and relaxing music without words to listen to during the infusion/Inhalation.

    Set a positive and productive intention prior to your ketamine therapy.
  • 8
    Do not use any recreational drugs or alcohol for the 24 hours prior to or following your infusion.
  • 5
