Expert Care, Every Step
At the Start of Your Session
Your visit begins with a brief consultation and preparation process:
Discussion and Review
Before the infusion begins, your provider will review the treatment plan, explain what to expect, and answer any remaining questions. This is also the time to discuss any recent changes in your health, medications, or overall well-being.
Health Review
We will revisit your medical history and confirm the indications for your treatment to ensure the safest, most effective care possible.
Monitoring Setup
To ensure continuous safety, we use standard monitoring equipment throughout your infusion:
- EKG leads placed on the upper chest to track heart rhythm
- A blood pressure cuff on the upper arm to measure pressure at intervals
- An oxygenation monitor on the finger to track oxygen levels
IV Placement
A small IV catheter is placed in your hand or forearm. This allows for precise control of the ketamine dosage and ensures your comfort during the infusion.
Care in Action
During the Infusion
Once the infusion begins, you will be closely monitored by our medical team. Most patients describe the experience as calming and introspective, often accompanied by a gentle sense of “floating” or light dissociation. Some individuals experience mild, non-distressing visual or sensory effects.
You are encouraged to relax, close your eyes, and listen to soothing music that you’ve brought with you. Our goal is to create a peaceful, therapeutic environment where you feel safe and supported.

Recovery & Care
After the Infusion
Following the session, you will rest comfortably until you feel fully alert. Our staff will check your vital signs, answer any questions, and ensure you are ready for discharge.
Because ketamine can cause mild, short-term changes in perception and coordination, you will need to have someone drive you home (unless you are receiving nitrous oxide therapy). Most people feel relaxed or slightly tired afterward and are encouraged to take the rest of the day off for quiet recovery.
Each infusion is part of a carefully structured treatment plan designed to help restore balance, reduce symptoms, and promote healing.
